Forgiveness and Healing across Religions

The theme of the International symposium 2010-2011 was ‘Forgiveness and Healing Across Religion’. The Principal Dr.Marie Fernandes gave the welcome address. The chief guest was Fr. Joe.H. Pereira, Founder, Managing Trustee of Kripa Foundation. The other speakers included Maulana Mohd Soheb Koti, Islamic Scholar and General Secretary of the All India Terhrik e-Zakat movement shared his ideas of the theme from an Islamic perspective. Param Pujya Sadguru Yogiraj, Sri Sri Mangeshda, founder of Sadguru Mageshda Kriya Yoga Foundation shared his views from a Hindu perspective. This was followed by an audio –visual presentation on ….. Speaker Solomon Sopher, President of Bombay’s Baghdadi Jew Community shared his ideas from a Jewish perspective of forgiveness and healing. Ms. Mona Gaur, content writer and member of the Bhai community of Mumbai shared insights from a Bhai perspective. The audience was engaged in a question and answer session. Lastly Prof. Sharmila Dhote gave the Vote of Thanks.  The event ended as everyone present sang the National Anthem.
