St. Andrew’s College – Anti-ragging Cell
St. Andrew’s College has a zero-tolerance towards ragging. In compliance with the National Ragging Prevention Programme ordered by the Honorable Supreme Court of India in May 2009, we have a full-fledged Anti-ragging cell to ensure total eradication of ragging. Each year at the time of their admissions, the students have to fill the Aman Movement Anti-ragging form undertaking that they would not engage in any sort of ragging activities on the campus. Such complaints are dealt with seriously, if reported.
To report on any issues related to ragging, the students can e-mail us on principal@standrewscollege.ac.in
ANTI-RAGGING POLICY
In accordance with the “UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009,” the institution considers as ragging, “any conduct whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness any other student, indulging in rowdy or undisciplined activities which causes or is likely to cause annoyance, hardship or psychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension thereof in a fresher or a junior student or asking the students to do any act or perform something which such student will not in the ordinary course and which has the effect of causing or generating a sense of shame or embarrassment so as to adversely affect the physique or psyche of a fresher or a junior student.”
The institution is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus and follows a strict zero-tolerance policy towards ragging.
