Aavishkar Research
Aavishkar Research Convention, an initiative of the University of Mumbai, is a prestigious platform designed to promote a strong research culture and scientific temperament among students, scholars, and faculty across disciplines. Since its inception, the convention has encouraged participants to explore innovative ideas, develop research skills, and present their work at inter-collegiate, zonal, and university levels.
The Aavishkar process typically involves multiple stages, including orientation sessions, intra-collegiate rounds, poster presentations, and zonal competitions, where participants present their research before expert panels. For example, in recent years, students actively participated in poster and podium rounds, where they explained their research within a structured format followed by evaluation and feedback sessions .
The convention covers diverse categories such as Humanities, Commerce, Science, Engineering, and more, ensuring interdisciplinary participation. Students are guided through sessions on research proposal writing, methodology, ethics, and presentation techniques to enhance their performance.
